Office 365 E3 vs. Microsoft 365 Business: Which One Is Right for You?

Image
U p until recently, Microsoft Office 365 had either been bundled for large enterprises, typically covered under the Office 365 E3 plan, or available as a mix-and-match through various plans. This made it difficult for smaller agile companies to manage their cloud experience. Enterprise plans had additional features in SharePoint, Exchange, and Data security that were needed by small- and medium-sized companies but were not available in smaller bundles. Microsoft now has a cloud-based service for small businesses that combines Office 365, Data Security, and Windows 10. It’s a solution designed for growing businesses with less than 300 users that neither have the time nor the necessary resources to maintain multiple servers and seats. It also gives not only your staff but also your customers the flexibility to securely share, collaborate, and communicate seamlessly on any device, anywhere and anytime. Many young businesses punch above their weight in products or services despite th

What are Azure Blueprints?

Image
Blueprints, in the traditional sense, are used by architects and engineers to design and build new things.  They are used to ensure that the final products are built to specifications and in compliance with certain standards and requirements. Azure  Blueprints are used in much the same way as traditional blueprints are.   In much the same manner that an engineer or architect uses a traditional blueprint to design and build to spec, IT engineers can use Azure Blueprints to design and deploy a repeatable collection of  Azure resources  that adhere to certain requirements and standards.   By leveraging Azure Blueprints, engineers can quickly build and deploy new environments that are always compliant with organizational standards – and they can do so far more quickly than building new each time. Azure Blueprints allow the IT professional to orchestrate the deployment of resource templates and other Azure artifacts, including role assignments, policy assignments, resource group

At Triphla Cloud Tech, we enjoy being able to solve user problems with Office 365. It's this commitment to the user experience that has helped make us a Microsoft  Partner of the Year, multiple years running.  In this post, one of our IT Support Engineers solves the common complaint of having trouble getting your Office 365 contacts on your iPhone.  Office 365 contacts on an iPhone - what's the trouble?  The problem with getting your Office 365 contacts on an iPhone, while using the Outlook app, is this: Apple doesn't allow third party apps (in this case Microsoft Outlook) to write directly to the phone's contacts. They way Microsoft gets around this is to setup a process where it copies the contacts from Outlook App to the phone's contacts every so often. This is a one-way copy and makes it so that you can't change a contact from your phone and expect it to show up in your Outlook App (of your Office 365 account).  To work around this, we can setu

Is Office 365 Secure? Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Fear the Cloud

Security concerns have held many companies back from moving their infrastructure to the cloud. As an IT security professional, you’re taught to always implement the latest security measures to protect data and keep your organization running at full speed. As a result, you might have trouble trusting your infrastructure to a third-party service like  Microsoft Office 365 . Like most IT managers, you’re left wondering:  Is Office 365 secure ? Security Concerns With Office 365 & the Cloud Simply put, security concerns surrounding the cloud are valid. After all, data is the lifeblood of your company. IT managers are also tasked with protecting corporate data, so it’s understandable they’d be hesitant to trust that data to someone else. Within security, here are other concerns customers often relay and the answers we provide: I don’t want Microsoft to access my data!  There is zero standing access to data if stored in the Microsoft Cloud. Microsoft controls access through
